Grindhouse is a pair of films that are meant to invoke the experience of a Grindhouse cinema. The two films presented are Planet Terror directed by Robert Rodriguez and Death Proof directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Here is a summary of my opinions of the two films. Planet Terror is parody of the zombie horror genre, it is silly and fun, but in the end disappointing. I can't really say if Death Proof holds true to the Grindhouse genre, but it is a very good movie. If these movies became available separately on DVD I would definitely buy Death Proof I would not buy Planet Terror.
